Who’s got your vote?? LET THE BEAT BATTLE BEGIIINN!!!

This might just go down in history as one of the most epic beat battles! This is great! Hip hop producers, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are set to hit the stage in a beat battle. Swizz Beatz has produced multiple hit singles for several artists in different music genres. His catalog includes “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” (DMX), “Banned from T.V.” (Noreaga), “Gotta Man” (Eve), “Jigga My Nigga” (Jay-Z), “Party Up (Up in Here)” (DMX), “Check on It”, “Ring the Alarm” (Beyoncé), “Good Times” (Styles P), “Bring ‘Em Out” (T.I.), “Hotel”, “I’m a Hustla” (Cassidy), “Touch It” (Busta Rhymes) and much more. Timbaland is responsible for his work on Ginuwine…the Bachelor, Aaliyah’s 1996 album One in a Million, Missy Elliott’s 1997 album Supa Dupa Fly,  “Cry Me a River” for Justin Timberlake, FutureSex/LoveSounds and The 20/20 Experience, Nelly Furtado’s album Loose in 2006,  Jay-Z, Nas, Ludacris, Bubba Sparxxx, Madonna, Rihanna, OneRepublic, Brandy, Drake, Rick Ross and others.

During the Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor press conference in Brooklyn, Swizz set the stage and called out Timbaland for a beat battle. Apparently, Swizz is attempting to make this neat battle a regular thing. He recently battled it out with producer, Just Blaze in February. “Timbaland want to talk shit too,” Swizz says to the crowd. “So everyone out there tell Timbaland we can have a battle, we can do whatever he want to do.”

And not too long after Swizz’s summoning, we heard from Timbaland in a dramatic Instagram post, accepting the challenge. In the clip, Timbo sits alone in a room with the Game of Thrones theme playing in the background. “Swizz, you have woken up Timbo Snow,” he says referring to the GOT character, Jon Snow. “Challenge accepted. I’m with the smoke. That’s right. You hear that Game of Thrones. You have woken up the king.”

Other names have been brought up as possibly going toe-to-toe in beat battles including Pharrell vs. Timbaland, The Alchemist vs. El-P, DJ Premier vs. Pete Rock and Havoc vs. Just Blaze.

No date has been scheduled for this infamous beat battle, but keep it locked to THECARTER. for more info!
