THIS IS GREAT, ESPECIALLY WITH HIS ANNIVERSARY TOMORROW!
It’s been 20 years since the death of Notorious B.I.G. and tomorrow slates his anniversary. In honor of the legend, a three-day art show will pay homage to the legacy Christopher Wallace left behind. A 38-foot-high mural of Biggie on Bedford Avenue and Quincy Street arranged by artist, Naoufal Alaoui and street artist, Scott Zimmerman. Local art organization Spread Art NYC will be hosting the 20 Big Years event starting this Friday, March 9th (the day Biggie died) and will continue until Sunday, March 11th. The show will be held at Bishop Gallery in Bedford Ave. The event will feature tons of artist, but one including Barron Clairborne, the noted photographer who captured the famous picture of Biggie wearing the crown in 1977 (three days before his death). There will also be a screening called “Bedford and Quincy”, that captures early Biggie Smalls chilling in the neighborhood with his friends.
