WHEN HIP HOP SUPPORTS WOMEN’S RIGHTS…

I LOVE THIS CULTURE OF HIP HOP SOMETIMES…

In response to the inauguration of our new president, Donald Trump, who became the 45th President of the United States January 20th, thousands of people marched through the streets of different cities across the nation to stand up for women’s rights. The issue is that Trump is completely against abortions and would rather shut down the government than fund Planned Parenthood. Well the ladies of the US did not respond to his opposition whatsoever, and neither did the hip hop community. Talib Kweli participated in a local march in Las Angeles,¬†Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys performed in concert and showed their respect concerning the fight on women’s rights. marchers showed up with positive¬†energy and clever signs. My favorite was one saying “Only Warren G can regulate me!” Check pictures of the marches captured in a some of the cities that participated below.
