IF YOU EVER SLEPT ON NIPSEY, WAKE YOUR ASS UP!!
Let me clear this up before I get everyone confused about why this article is even relevant:
Tunecore is basically a digital music distribution company that believes in artists by letting them keep 100% of their sales revenue without giving up any ownership, copyrights, merchandise, the whole nine. In 2013, Nipsey sold 1,00 physical copies of his album Crenshaw at $100 each and made a killing selling out all his merchandise. Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, even bought 100 copies of the Crenshaw album at a total of $10,000. Nipsey is a well-respected artist because he can sell out of his physical records and will still give away his digital copies for free. THAT’S LOVE. Last year, he sold 100 copies of his album Mailbox Money, selling for $1000 each; in which we sold 60 copies. Not to mention all the additional income he’s getting from his merchandise, tours and other investments.
Who said fans won’t pay for music?!
